Our Programs

Thoughtfully built for every stage — from six weeks to school age.

We're focused on doing this well — with curriculum grounded in research, teachers who genuinely care, and an environment where every child feels known at every age and stage.

Pure joy in the KPT classroom
Our Programs

Where curiosity is welcomed and every child belongs.

From our youngest Chipmunks to our Owls in school age care — every classroom is designed with intention, staffed with heart, and built around the child in front of us.

Age Groups

Six classrooms. Six different worlds.

A Chipmunk and a Wolf have almost nothing in common developmentally — and that's exactly the point. Every room at KPT is built from scratch around who that child actually is right now.

Infant Program

Infants learn through relationship — through being held, responded to, and seen. Our infant program follows each baby's individual schedule and prioritizes consistent, warm caregiving from a small, familiar team. We communicate closely with families from day one so nothing important gets missed.

Chipmunks Our youngest learners, discovering the world through words, movement, and connection.

Bunnies

Young Toddler Program

Children at this age are learning to walk, talk, and figure out the world around them. We offer safe spaces for exploration, language-rich interactions, and the steady, predictable care that helps children feel secure enough to take risks and grow.

Bunnies Wobbly walkers and eager talkers discovering everything around them one step at a time.

Our Curriculum

The Essentials curriculum — backed by decades of research

Kids Play Today follows the Essentials curriculum, grounded in the work of leading early childhood theorists including Brofenbrenner, Piaget, Vygotsky, Gardner, and Montessori. It uses weekly themes to practice developmental skills while introducing academic topics — all disguised as fun!

What Scaffolding Means for Your Child

Kids Play Today is a Scaffold School. Our classrooms are designed so children practice the skills that prepare them for each next stage — and ultimately for Kindergarten. What is valued is not the finished product — it is the developmentally appropriate skill each child is working toward at that exact moment in their growth.

Purposeful Play

Physical, educational, creative, imaginative, and dramatic play are all built into every single day — because children need all of them to develop fully.

Academic Foundations

Every theme includes science, math, reading, and writing elements — introduced in age-appropriate, hands-on ways children will carry into elementary school.

Multiple Learning Styles

Visual, tactile, auditory, and kinesthetic learners are all supported. Activities are presented through a variety of stimuli so every child has a way in.

How We're Different

A few things we've built that aren't easy to find

We'd rather show you than tell you. But here are some things about how we're structured that are worth knowing before you visit.

A supervisor always on duty — never counted in ratios

Every day a dedicated supervisor is present and available — not pulled from a classroom to cover a gap. Teachers are supported, issues get addressed quickly, and families always have someone to connect with.

Goes beyond what's required

Curriculum grounded in real research

Our curriculum is built on our founder's background — and refined continuously by what we observe working in our own classrooms every day.

Academic-level foundation

Aspiring educators in training — never counted in ratios

We welcome select young people pursuing ECE careers to train alongside our team. They bring extra warmth to classrooms — and because they're never counted in ratios, they add genuine support without affecting coverage.

Growing the next generation

Families included — not just informed

From hands-on events to open communication throughout the day, we build real partnerships with the people who know and love our children most. Family is not an afterthought — it's part of the design.

Daily Traditions

Every morning, we start together.

Each day across every classroom, children join together for the Pledge of Allegiance. It's a small, steady ritual that builds something larger — a sense of shared belonging, community, and routine that connects the whole center.

A year full of things to look forward to

Connection is built through the experiences families share together — the ones children remember and ask about long after they've moved on.
